FULFIL YOUR FITRANA
CHANGE A LIFE
How Your Support Made a Difference in 2026
In 2026, (AST) was able to extend meaningful help to families in need thanks to your generosity. Through your Fitrana contributions, 1,084 people received essential support, while 75 Eid Gift Packs were delivered to children and families who otherwise would have had nothing to celebrate with.
Your giving - whether Fitrana, Zakat ul-Fitr, or Eid Gifts - ensured that vulnerable communities in Pakistan were able to enjoy Eid with nourishing food, joy, and a renewed sense of dignity. Your kindness allowed us to reach many more families who rely on your compassion during this blessed season.
How Is Fitrana Different From Zakat?
Although Fitrana (Zakat al-Fitr) and Zakat are both important acts of charity in Islam, they fulfil different roles and follow separate guidelines.
Fitrana is a fixed charitable payment - typically £5 - given by every Muslim at the end of Ramadan. Its purpose is to help those in need take part in Eid celebrations with ease. Fitrana may be given to anyone eligible, regardless of age.
Zakat, on the other hand, is calculated at 2.5% of a Muslim’s qualifying savings. It must be distributed to specific groups outlined by Islamic law and cannot be given to just anyone.
Both forms of charity uplift lives, but each serves a unique purpose within the Islamic system of giving.
"[Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA)]"
Bring Joy Through Fitrana & Eid Gifts
Your Fitrana plays a vital role in helping vulnerable families complete Ramadan with dignity. It provides essential food and support so they can welcome Eid without the burden of hunger or hardship. At the same time, your Eid Gifts bring smiles to children who long for the joy and excitement of Eid but lack the means to celebrate.
Through your generosity, parents can feed their families, children can feel included, and entire households can experience the blessings of Eid with comfort and hope.
